The Singing Crusaders Male Chorus has been praising God in song since shortly after World War II. This legacy continues today with men of all denominations lifting voices in song at churches, conference grounds, sporting events, and other Christian gatherings around the state, and beyond.

What We Do

The Singing Crusaders is a dedicated, volunteer, non-audition group, encouraging men to join for the fellowship of singing, even if they’ve never participated in a choir previously.   The group rehearses weekly through the program year at Grace Christian Reformed Church in Kalamazoo, Michigan (1724 Whites Rd, Kalamazoo, MI 49008).

Rehearsals start at 7:00pm and go for 90 minutes with lively fellowship included.  The group performs about bi-monthly.

Our primary ministry is to churches, bringing a lively mix of music, testimonies, and worship music to various congregations.  The group also has a special affinity for the armed services and endeavors to support our men and women in the services.  The group occasionally travels, and has performed in the Netherlands, West Point Military Academy, Annapolis Naval Academy, and Norfolk Naval Station.

We regularly perform the national anthem for the Grand Rapids Gryphons, Detroit Tigers, West Michigan Whitecaps, and Detroit Red Wings. In the summer we pick up camps and conference grounds such at Gun Lake Chapel and the CRC Conference grounds.

The group is supported by donations of individuals and churches and is a 501C3 qualified charity.  Men of all ages participate, though we would love to grow younger.  The Crusaders have numerous recordings available, and they can be found on this website.

Many voices,
one heart.
